Day 17 & 18

Day 17 & 18 excerpts are from Spurgeon (one of my favorite teachers!): 

Prayer: To spend 30 minutes a day with God for 21 Days…

“No man, even when converted, has any power except as that power is daily, constantly, and perpetually infused into him by the Spirit.” 

Purity:  To keep your eyes and actions pure during this 21 Days of Personal Revival.  (remember…Spurgeon, “prince of preachers” taught students how to preach…)

“A man’s life is always more forcible than his speech; when men take stock of him they reckon his deeds as pounds and his words as pence.  If his life and his doctrines disagree, the mass of on-lookers accept his practice and reject his preaching.  A man may know a great deal about truth, and be a very damaging witness on its behalf, because he is no credit to it.”

Purpose: To bring one person to Christ during this 21 One Day Personal Revival—to actively share and pray for lost. 

“The class requiring logical argument is small compared with the number of those who need to be pleaded with, by way of emotional persuasion.  They require not so much reasoning as heart-argument—which is logic set on fire.”
