Day 16
Today…I’ve only heard from a few of you about your progress and/or consistency during our 21 days of personal revival—but those who have written have seen a marked difference, a breakthrough…change…personal revival, indeed!
Carry on…this week. What I’m sure of is this…James 1:4, “Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, lacking in nothing.”
Today’s excerpts: Author Thomas White, director of Frontline Ministries in Corvallis, Oregon conducts seminars on spiritual warfare around the world. In your victory over prayerlessness, impurity, or to breakthrough to fulfilling your call…White gives great insight into every Christian’s battle with the enemy! This is really good information as you move into a deeper walk with God as a minister of the gospel…an ambassador, one who is called to fulfill the Great Commission.
Prayer: To spend 30 minutes a day with God for 21 Days…
He says, “Pray in the Spirit: Your prayers, prompted by the Spirit, are guided missiles that penetrate enemy strongholds. We are exhorted to be alert and pray “for all the saints,” to watch out for and uphold fellow believers in the spiritual battle we all face. “
Purity: To keep your eyes and actions pure during this 21 Days of Personal Revival.
He suggests that compromise of our conscience gives the devil a foothold into our lives. He writes, “Realize, with transparent honesty, which values of culture you have embraced or tolerated...covetousness, ambition, lust, intellectual pride to name a few. Admit compromises to the Lord and to at least one trusted Christian friend. Repent of lines crossed in your conscience. Boldly ask Jesus to put this area of your life on the cross and to render it powerless. Regain the perspective of holiness. Your heart will follow after what your mind chooses to dwell on. Reaffirm kingdom values of servanthood, generosity, etc. Record your decisions…”
Purpose: To bring one person to Christ during this 21 One Day Personal Revival—to actively share and pray for lost.
Many pastors, missionaries, counselors, and lay persons have come face to face (when sharing Christ and praying with the unsaved) with a clear case of demonic manifestation. Often they have no formal training in the how-to’s of deliverance. But the greatest preparation is pre-occupation with the person of Jesus and an unshakable faith in his triumph over evil. This fearless faith quickly makes up for any lack of training.
