Day 13

Today…we approach 2 weeks of personal—do you feel/see a difference in your life?! I’m looking for a response here

Prayer: To spend 30 minutes a day with God for 21 Days…

Many of you know that I have a 27 year old son.  Earlier this summer, I began to add intense fasting and praying scripture over/for his life.  All I can tell you is that by today, his world has radically changed—his closest relationships have turned upside down, his career focus turned upside down, and he got hit in the face in a soccer game and has enough stitches in his lip to slow everything down in his life…but he’s a different person—he’s more of God’s person than I can remember.

All this to say, when you need/look for break through…prayer and fasting will bring more significant change than talking, wishing or hoping.  If you are looking for breakthrough, I encourage you to add fasting and praying scripture over/for into the situation.

Purity:  To keep your eyes and actions pure during this 21 Days of Personal Revival.

I made a commitment 2 weeks ago—in solidarity with you—to continue to purify my life…I determined that I should not watch 2 entertainment television shows that I’ve watched for years.  For a variety of reasons, it seemed the right thing to do, but this corporate challenge caused me to consider taking a more direct action to purge them out of my life.  I actually thought it might be difficult to do…but I can report that not watching these shows has not been a temptation—because of you.  Knowing I told you I would do something…keeps me in the game.  Knowing I will have more time to do other more productive things and that I have less cultural/stupid “spin” running through my head…is purging thoughts and gossip that would only diminish the Holy Spirit in me.  So…thank you.  I plan to never return to these shows…

How about you?

Purpose: To bring one person to Christ during this 21 One Day Personal Revival—to actively share and pray for lost.

Aah…when we began, I had 2 friends that I felt that I should share Christ (again) with during the 21 Day Challenge.  On Monday, I met with one of my two friends.  She confirmed what I’ve never known for sure—thanks to the 21 day challenge!  She is indeed a Christian but I felt our conversation took us to a new place where I was invited to be more of a mentor/encourager to her.  The other friend…I know she has been running from God for years—and she loves to ridicule me in front of others—telling them I’m a crazy Jesus-person.  (I don’t mind…she’s so brazen, you can only laugh about it…usually.)  Anyway, I’ve been attempting to get a personal appointment with her since 9/1 (our schedules never match) to have a “come to Jesus” conversation.  I have one more week…and I’m gone 6 of the next 8 days…but I’m determined to meet with her as soon as we can.

This challenge has prompted me to not be lazy, not take relationships for granted, not to let months go by…to put an appointment with people on my calendar.  How about you…has God given you a few people to have a “come to Jesus” talk with?
